Ready or not...

We're leaving for our trip-o-chaos tomorrow, and thought it might be helpful to post a rough outline of our plans, especially since we are cramming so much into this trip. So here 'tis.

Thursday, 9th October - We fly from London to Newark, NJ. We are due in Newark around 8:00pm and will be spending the night in NJ. Our US cell phone (571-214-8117) will be functional as soon as we land.

Friday, 10th October - We are spending the day in NJ and NYC visiting friends. After dinner, we will be driving to Poughkeepsie, NY for the wedding.

Saturday, 11th October - Sunday, 12th October - We will be in Poughkeepsie, NY for Monica and Jules's wedding. (Hooray!)

Monday, 13th October - We are driving down to Kimmy and Brad's (Jenni's sister and brother-in-law) house in Gettysburg, PA, where we will be staying for the rest of the trip.

Tuesday, 14th October - The twins' re-adoption hearing is at 8:30am in Rockville, MD. Remember, you are all welcome to join us for this celebratory event! Should you wish to join us, please meet us at the Courthouse, 50 Maryland Avenue in Rockville, at 8:00am. You will be permitted to bring a camera or video camera if you wish, though you will not be allowed to use it during the actual hearing. Cameras are usually prohibited - we have a special letter that will grant anyone accompanying us to bring one. If you do not meet us at 8:00am, then you will not be allowed to take your camera into the courtroom! We will probably have breakfast/lunch (brunch?) after the hearing and again, you are all welcome to join us. Afterwards, we'll be spending the rest of the day visiting with Eric's family.

Wednesday, 15th October - One of us will be spending most of the day in Baltimore getting Ben and Desi's new birth certificates. The other one of us and the kids will likely be hanging out at Kimmy and Brad's house. We are doing a walk-through on our new house just before dinner time.

Thursday, 16th October - We will be spending the day in DC. Our morning will be spent in the passport office getting the twins' new passports. The afternoon and evening are free for mingling with DC-based friends, so please let us know if you want to hang out!

Friday, 17th October - We are settling on our house in the morning. Afterwards, we will probably spend most of the afternoon in a Home Depot or Lowes!

Saturday, 18th October - Depending on whether we are able to secure the permit in time, we are hoping to build a fence in our new backyard. Any and all help would be most welcome!

Sunday, 19th October - Tuesday, 21st October - We will be working on the house. Should you want to come play with our three adorable children while we strip hideous vinyl off the floor and rip a drop ceiling out, please do not hesitate to let us know!

Wednesday, 22nd October - Saturday, 25th October - Eric will be in Las Vegas for a conference. Jenni and the kids will probably be hanging out at Kimmy and Brad's. Depending on how much we've managed to accomplish at the house, she may also be painting (there are certain little girls who have requested a pink bedroom - imagine that!).

Sunday, 26th October - Eric flies home from Las Vegas, and we'll be spending the day with Eric's family.

Monday, 27th October - We'll be spending the day doing laundry, packing and driving to Newark. Our flight leaves at dinner time.

We've got a lot to do, but we're looking forward to seeing you all!
